The Fastest Way to Peel Garlic
There are a couple of ways to peel garlic. You can open the bulb & peel them one at a time by hand. You can smash them with the side of a butcher knife and then peel them one at a time by hand.
You can go get your 4 kids and make them peel garlic.
Or you can do this:
Get some bulbs of garlic.
Smash them with something hard and flat so you have a pile of cloves.
Put the cloves into a giant pot.
Put the lid on the pot.
Shake this like a maniac for 3 minutes. You will not believe what comes out of this pot. I did not believe it until I saw it for myself.
Dump out your perfectly peeled cloves.
If your cloves are not perfectly peeled at this point, you did not shake long enough or violently enough. Just keep shaking until you are sweating like a pig & the garlic should be all peeled.
Most of the peelings are now stuck to the inside of your pot.
If you garlic is extremely fresh & the peels are sticking to the garlic, just add some water to the pot. The peels will all float to the top.
Yea! Peeled garlic.
